Hi mummies,

Are the packages in this website worth buying?( Welcome to Mums & Babes ) I've not done my research on the prices at the malls but would appreciate if anyone could give some advice.

i actually came across this site HugsNCuddles, where they provide free delivery and their service is not bad.

Saw Medela Swing set selling for $399 at Kandang Kerbau Hospital. Includes City Style Breastpump bag.

The ones at Mums & Babes are not bad. However, I'm not sure if you would need the other items that come with it.

I just saw the mums& babes website, swing set with the citystyle bag on sale at $339? If so it is much cheaper than Kandang Kerbau Hospital's set.

yup, i just checked the website too. seems now they are having a promo. If it is really $339 then I'm getting it from the website instead.

however, when I click on the swing set, it is $389 instead on the website. Inclusive of delivery charges of $30 will be $419. But a lot more items than those offered at Kandang Kerbau Hospital.

I just called them earlier. The price is $389. You can go down to 81 Toh Guan Road East #03-01 Secom Centre if you want to purchase from them straight.

Their opening hours are Weekdays - 9.30am to 5.30pm and Saturday 9.30am to 12pm. I intend to go down today. They did say to avoid lunch hours from 12pm to 2pm. But when I said I can only come down during that time, they said they will wait for me. I intend to get the Swing Special

Also found out that they are the main distributor for Medela products. Medela Service Centre is also found there. In fact, Kandang Kerbau Hospital gets their Medela products from them too.

Are they main distributor?? cos i ask my friend and she said that when she called them up, they said they are under same roof, but diff companies..

Yup, they go by different company names. but they are all housed in one shop, including the Medela Service Centre. I did ask the person there whether they are the main distributor for Medela and she said yes.

In fact, on the warranty card, the authorised dealer's stamp is J & E Baby & Mothercare Products Pte Ltd, main distributor for Medela in Singapore.

I am still quite new to all this breastfeeding stuff. Is Medela breastpump really that good? If so, any recommendation for which particular model? So many places selling Medela products, where to get the best deal? mums and babes website shown 1st day early bird special for Medela brand but dont't know what is the thingy? Appreciate for the advice. Mummies rock!

I googled and medela seems like a good brand. Swiss brand i think.. i dont know.. when i tink swiss i think good.. they have good choc.. watches.. bank.. like whatever the swiss do, seems to b good.

going by picture, either is manual 1. or electric..
aiyah.. i think is manual breastpump .. cannot b so good to be electric..

If I remember correctly, my friend bought her pump from kiddie palace and warranty card is also stamped with J & E Baby & Mothercare Products Pte Ltd.. the person you asked is from the service centre?

May I know why you guys are interested in the swing set? I asked the sales person on the difference between the various sets and it seem that the swing set is a mini version and it will not have the function of stimulating the breast if compare to the more expensive set like freestyle and pump in style. Hope to get some advice as I am also deciding on which set to purchase.

I guess we share the same fustrations, dont know which pump to get? Only hear about Medela brand is good but which pump model? then where to get the best deals? Sales everywhere, taka fair , mums and babes warehouse sales ..is it really that good bargains? Appreciate advice.

I'm not too sure if that person works for MumsNbabes or the Service Centre but she did say that they are the main distributor for Medela. In fact the Service Centre and MumsNbabes are in the same store. And the share the same add as J & E, #03-01 SECOM Centre.

I went to the taka fair yesterday. Apparently for the swing set, the price and the items in the package are the same as those quoted by MumsnBabes. I didn't check out the rest of the models though. I heard pretty good reviews about the Pump in Style but didn't get it as it was over my budget. The symphony, Pump in Style, Swing and Harmony are the ones with the 2-phase expression.

Baby fair will also be coming up at Expo.

My friend said Medela will not be at the Baby fair this wkend. So better check 1st before gg down.

baby love, i've used medela's pump in style advanced for 14 months and i must say it is really good. it's worth the investment and i was able to fill up my fridge and freezer haha
the newest model, if i'm not mistaken, is called freestyle. though it is "handsfree", i've heard that it's not as powerful as pump in style advanced and the engine gets slower easily (which means you'd have to take it in for servicing). but i dont know if it's a one off experience, or all of the freestyle ones are like that.

but i can vouch for the pump in style advanced. (all thumbs up for that one).

first few yrs r the parallel importer, they brought in medela stuff from US n warranty by themselves. J&C is the authorised dealer for medela,hence its more expensive.
