crack lines on shoes

hi all,

sometimes if i do not wear a pair of shoes for some time, the next time i take it out n start walking with it, i notice there r some 'crack lines' on the shoes n this pair of shoes has to be thrown away... wat can i do abt tis problem?

sigh, tt happened to my pretty fit shoes previously too... i too had to throw it away even thou i had oni worn it once or twice oni... wat a waste...

i ask my maid to take my shoes out occasionally to give them a wipe with damp cloth so they dun spoil so fast.
