Recommendation for orthodontist

Hi,

Sorry for the cross-post but I am new to this forum. Have been in Singapore for less than 6 months (coming to 5 months next week!) since my husband relocated here in June.

We're thinking of bringing our two teenage kids and had done the necessary research (i hope). A quick question/request:

Can someone recommend a gentle orthodontist for my family? Gosh there are loads of dentist in Singapore but I am looking for someone qualified in Incognito (for myself :001_302:) and Invisalign (for my kids).

Hello cyclamen,

I remember a friend of mine using Incognito braces and lamenting about the lack of local orthodontist familiar with the system. He eventually found an orthodontist practicing in Orchard that was accredited to apply Incognito braces. This is the type of invisible braces behind the teeth right? If it is, I think I can get the contact number from him (He had gone back to Europe).

Yes! Incognito is fixed behind the teeth so that no one other than the wearer (and dentist) knows about its presence. Its very popular where I came from.

Can I trouble you to obtain the contact for the orthodontist please? I am due for a review soon. Thank you so much.

This is a lady dentist. Her name is Dr Poon Kee Hwang. Her clinic is called Neuglow Dental. I was told by my friend that she is the first orthodontist in Singapore who is proficient in Incognito braces. Try googling her name for the clinic number.

Hi,

Was away for a while. Time for an update.

Consulted both recommendations (and two other orthodontists as well). Eventually chose Dr Poon from Neuglow Dental. To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive at first, seeing how young she appears - but I'm not good at guessing age. Dr Poon is very professional and is always great with my kids. I am also very satisfied with her skills at Incognito. Maybe it is psychological, but I really feel that my teeth are straightening up at twice the speed compared to my previous orthodontist. Much less discomfort too :001_302:!

Hi, I was contemplating between Invisalign and Incognito for my treatment. A few of my friends have tried Invisalign and some do recommend the system but I came across an Incognito brochure and did some research online. Initially, I was not quite sure if I can even find an orthodontist in sg who can manage me with Incognito. Then I came across this thread! Am glad to report that Incognito works beautifully.
I think the system is great but definitely part of the credit goes to my orthodontist. Really glad that I tracked down Dr Poon Kee Hwang at her new clinic. She is awesome! BIG thank you to cyclamen and caschwartz :001_302:

you can check out dr wong keng mun from T32 @ Camden. I have an innate fear of dentist (probably due to some unresolved childhood trauma) but he's really good. just give them a call at 67331388

hi everyone,

Just a shoutout for my children's braces dentist. My older son had a jaw problem, and our dentist managed to correct it, without surgery! I am very happy with the result, and my older son is proceeding with braces treatment now. My younger son just has all his milk teeth out, and he is going to see our dentist soon!
Dr Eugene Wee is a youthful and caring dentist, and he used to see me at National Dental Centre as a braces specialist. Have been with him since then, when my kids were young. Now he is in private practice, and still takes care of my family.
