Hi all, just went for my detailed scan today. It's a boy!! :) Neymo, can update mine on the gender board? My edd is 19th mar at kkh.

Started on raw form of birdnest in 2nd trimester. Usually double boiled wif red dates, wolfberries, rock sugar n ginseng over d weekends, once a week. Heard it is not recommended to take d bottled birdnest as it will cause phlegm n asthma in bb. Not sure how true.

same. my wife also low placenta. initial at 13 week. it suddenly having some spotting. then went see doc. doc also say low placenta... doc say when baby getting bigger it will move up slowly.

your wife can feel the bb is "climbing upward" soon..

i also heard of such saying.. tat y i dun dare to drink from bottle birdnest.. i rather spend bit more .. anyway.. boil birdnest.. the rest of my family members can drink too.

Ysterday jz reach 20 weeks.. woa.. i sudden feel the weight of the bb.. bit heavy.. n bb is "moving upward".. duno y i feel bit scary..lolz..

Apr gal, heard those raw form will cause asthma due to the fur.. The bottled birdnest is beyond the sugar control :eek:

Still struggling what type to buy... and my hubby already asked me few times when will I start to have birdnest... I was thinking that he wanna a fair fair ah boy :Dancing_tongue:

The birdnest I got is rather 'clean', only one or two once a bluemoon. So I think still ok. But I heard another colleague telling me dun eat cos all birdnest are chemically treated which is no good. Guess sometimes we r in dilemma, juz follow watever suit u.

Me too... I got slightly low placenta during 20weeks scanning. But when my gynae explained the report to me and he mentioned it is very normal (as long as not bleeding) and eventually the placenta will move up itself slowly when the pregnancy progresses. Keep my fingers crossed :001_302:

Also, the growth of bb after 20weeks look very different for me. My bb bump started to expand the space upward till beneath my breast.. Sometimes could cause slightly breathless..

Nowadays, my bb likes to punch me whenever I see MacDonald, JapFood and sitting down reading literature.. The movement feel so real.. Sometimes I was thinking how does he look like when he is born? :001_302:

Anyway looking forward to next Saturday gynae visit (24weeks) - missing him soooooo much! :001_302:

yup yup... agree... the cleaning of bird's nest including bleaching which will not good for bb..

Other people said white fungus has the same soluble protein as bird's nest and good for baby...

Yup white fungus is d affordable version of birdnest as it's high in collagen. But d medical hall lady advised not to take it during preggy. Not sure it causes phlegm or too cooling. So I dare not eat now.
