any of u booked ur childbirth education classes yet? ive decided to go for e Mt. A one.. commences on feb 4 (thurs) 6.30pm-8.30pm n subsequent 5 sessions on saturdays frm feb 20 onwards, 1.30pm-3.30pm. as ive chosen to deliver there, i'll only be paying $181.90. just need to reg through phone, then make payment on e first session.

actually, during my 16th week scan, my gynae says that baby seems to be a girl, coz apparently, she can't see anything btwn baby's legs. and we went for a month thinking we were having a baby girl. then during my 20th week detailed scan, i saw baby's *thing!* it was so obvious!!!

it was a pleasant surprise as i had always wanted a boy for my firstborn! although i would love a girl as much!!!!!

whatever it was, as long as baby is healthy and happy, we couldn't be happier. hehe

hubby n i also thought that it'll be a girl cuz gynae couldnt tell right up to when we went for e detailed scan.. n i was already looking at girlie stuff! haha! but we're also glad to hav a boy for a first! :wong19:

So far... mine is like a rollercoaster. My BH is taking over me. Sometimes i had blood spotting. But BH is painful for me tis time round. Backaches?? Lagi worst.. cant sleep thru the nite and baby is playing soccer inside now. Hows urs?

sometime i felt my tummy hardens and sometime it quite painful (is it BH?) , usually at night, and baby become more n more active, always kicking n punching

last week went to gynae (@ week 25), she told me baby weight around 800grams, and total i gained 10kg. i'm afraid that i put too much weight, but she told me, it's ok as long as baby healthy. How's yours?

did u sign up for the mount A "ladies" card (not too sure on the actual full name. for about S$68 for 2 years, u get 10% discount for the antenatal class + discount of 60 to $100 for the maternity package (depending on which package you chose)

Yup.. tats Braxton Hicks. Mine is quite painful too.

i get that BH sometimes too.. n my boy's really active, especially at nite when im abt to fall asleep! so far ive gained 7kg.. will only knw baby's weight when i go for my routine check this sat..

so.. what hav u mommies shopped for ur lil one so far? i havent even started yet.. :001_302: gonna check out e baby hyperstore this sat.. see if their prices are cheaper compared to elsewhere..

Whats the feeling of BH??? I dun think i experience it yet???? I am now 26 weeks ...

but my baby hyper active, punch here punch there, can feel & see my stomach suddenly got 1 hard lump (he punching haha)

fern, i didnt apply for e alvernia ladies' card.. dont think it's necessary.. im not goin for e antenatal classes cuz hubby's workin most of e time n i dont feel like goin on my own.. haha

i have not gone for any of the antenatal classes myself but heard from sis in law that it is not recommended to go alone because there are some things are meant for the "supporting role" She went with her mum previously.

if u r going for 1 bedder, then will still be worth it as you get $100 discount from the maternity package for having the card. There's also discount for visiting the 24 hr (or A&E) clinic at mount A...i ks, signed up already

Hi Ladies,

How does BH feel like? I get stomache-like cramps so are those BH symptoms? Is it on both side or one side?

So far my little one is really gentle, seldom kick and only snuggle and turn slightly inside me, gynae said its because my little one is in sitting position which is why i dun feel much kicking..guess i am missing out alot of fun..sometimes it makes me anxious when i dun feel anything.
Hmmm...KKH gynae told me they dun have a practice of measuring baby's weight if its less than 1kg so till now i dunno what is the weight of my little darling. But i was told to do gestational diabetes test even though i only put on 6 kg at 25 weeks.

My little one has been kicking and punching so furiously especially at nights, cause me to be unable to sleep. Feels so fast..apr is coming. Hopefully I'm ready...

the whole tummy will harden or only part of it? So far i only experience bottom part tummy harden... quite painful sometimes

The top part of ur tummy will be harden. Mine is quite painful.

No wonder sometimes i feel like i am going to "explode", my tummy feels so stretched at times...so that's BH. i tot i overeat! hehe

haha that's how I feel too!! tummy overstretched thought its because my skin dry and i over-ate or something.
