Jasmine, I seriously don't think you should be too borthered by what your manager says or do. Being pregnant, go for checks, take MC are simply part of the process. I had even seen some whom take weeks of MC cos they are too sick to work. As long as you have the proper documents and you did your best to do ur work, there's nothing to be afraid of. You have your rights as an employee too with entitlement of MC, annual leave and maternity leave.

Being pregnant is a happy thing, why allow her to cause you unhappiness and inconvenience? I would go to my fav gynae, even if I need to take leave or MC. Most important is baby now!

If she tries to make things difficult, you can tell your upper management. If they too are inconsiderate, want to sack you to deny maternity leave, you can report to MOM

My only symptom is that rusty bittery taste. It sticks. So far, no cravings, nausea or anything of that sort. I'm starting on the milk/choco supplement. So far, vanilla is okay as long as it's coupled with Milo which will make the taste a lot better. Having a hard time finding clothes to fit these days so hopefully, i can go shopping for some clothes this Saturday. :)

Hey guys, thanks for all the encouragement. will take note of what was advised.

I'm thinking of changing my Gynae due to the cost incurred. Any review on these doctors Dr Tan from Onedoctors @ Nex, Dr Adrain Woodworth @ compasspoint and Esther Ng from Mt A ? Due to timing issues, i prefer Dr Tan from OneDoctors @ Nex as they are opened after 7pm.

But at the same time i'll hope to get a responsible good Doctor =)

Greatly appreciate your help in this =)

I'm sharing my excitement with the first timers! How wonderful! I wish everyone in here a happy and healthy 9 months. I was also quite lucky to have my firstborn before 30! I was 29! Hahaha...

Welcome and congratulations Chapter! :)

I just bought chicken rice from Ananas for lunch but suddenly dun feel like eating. Even the smell makes me wanna puke. Aiyoh. I regret buying $3 of it. This is the first time of the week that my morning sickness invaded the rest of the day!!! I feel so sian and keep feeling wanna puke! Some more my colleague gave me goreng pisang and I can only watch with sadness! Cold water seems to work for me though, on a temporary basis. Just slow sips throughout the day.

My consultation (repeat visit) is $60 and scan also $60. Additional is whatever supplements/vitamins/meds doc prescribe.. so I feel it's reasonable. I like my gynae - was seeing him before already and conveniently located for me.

Gynae is Dr Tan at Nex.
HI Ajcy, thanks for this information, possible to provide the name of the clinic ?
PK Women's Specialist Clinic

Oops sorry I didnt read till here and replied but I see you found dr tan's details already..

I'm very happy with dr tan as I mentioned I was already seeing him before so it didn't cross my mind to change gynae..

He's patient, has an email for you to contact him with further questions and he responds promptly.. his nurse is very friendly too..

So far I've never had long waits for any appointment ..

Hahaha...i have the same reaction with food though i don't feel like throwing up. More on the moment i taste it, i don't like it anymore and push it away, then will end up choosing another food instead, it's really funny because my colleagues noticed that i started to become picky on food.

Me too.... push away food, my mum(im only child) understands if i push away the food she cooked, then she will find something else for me,

Sadly to say, ny MIL who had 3 sons including hubby, dont understand this, keep saying why dont eat, fish not smelly, this nice tat nice, must eat more.... how i wish i can puke in front of her to protest..... then i will kick hubby to rescue me...

Btw cold water really helps, although we cant take cold water, i take it real slow, then followed by another glass of warm water to neutralize

Nah this is my first pregancy, so i'm not sure why is she reacting like this. It seems to us who work under her that she isnt happy if any of us got pregnant as she felt it will affect our work. As one of my colleagues just came back from her maternity leave and when she requires to take leave to bring her son to the doctor for jabs and checkup she will say how many times is this required ? Is it a must for u to bring him there ? Isnt there anyone home who could help u ? This upsets my colleagues very badly ...

Hi,

i understand your feelings. My current boss also more or less typical type as what you describe. He did mention to me like this and said he is just giving me advice. He said i should pay full attention to my career first and achieve something before i have any family planning. He even told me how her wife struggle between work and kids. He himself has 3 kids. Now he is asking people not to have kids and "cheong" for him!! Everytime i think of this it just make me frustrated. Now i have been pregnant for 5 weeks more. i still keep this from him. i guess he will not happy when he hear that news from me. He just keep pushing new tasks on me only, in a sense to stress me and dun let me be pregnant. He is way of sarcastic during our 1-1 session and i just reply him: "you discriminate on pregnant woman!" He just laugh it off and say No, he is not. Till the day comes, i still dunno how to break the news to him. It really create sort of invisible pressure on my pregnancy.;(

Does any mummy here know yellow/brownish and white discharge is normal during first trimester?

These few days i have been experienced this....

What is actually a light spotting? does brownish/yellow discharge considered one?

Missy,
How did you insert the pregnancy ticker on every post? Can teach me? :Dancing_tongue:
I got my ticker @ lilypie.com
Then put in under signature under profile setting
But realised the dates not tally with mine.....
