I visit Dr Loke at Tampines. Reason for choosing that clinic is because I've a good friend who's also preggie visiting him too. So once I'm preggie I took the same gynae as her so sometimes we can go for our gynae checkups together.

Ooohhh..im seeing him too :) did u take his package after 3 months? And have u decided on which hosp u r goin to?

yes, most likely taking his package. I decided to choose East Shore since it's very near my place. I went on a tour at East Shore to view the rooms and price, and I think it's quite ok. Will choose either the deluxe or the single bed. I'm still thinking whether to take the antenatal class from East Shore or the one from Thomson as I heard that the antenatal class from Thomson is much popular from the other mommies.

At first i wanted to take Parkway east aswell but read in forum and hint from dr loke that this hosp's equipment for delivery not that gd. Maybe becoz they dun just specialized in this area. So have decided to go for TMC instead

Actually I did hear about it before. But so far I've 2 friends who had delivered there and so far so gd, they had pretty good experience there too. So crossfinger, hopefully mine will be smooth as well.

I didnt choose Thomson because it is far from my place and the last time I went there on a weekday late afternoon,traffic was jam, parking is difficult too. The place was very crowded and I remembered I waited like 3 hours at the waiting room to do my NT scan even though I made an appointment. Then although I took their valet parking, they took like 45 mins to drive my car out.So i was a frustrated preggie that day,sweating under the sun, totally not in a good mood, and that's when we decided to take East Shore instead. And after the renovation, we felt that East shore somehow has a better ambiance, not as rowdy, so we had a better feel there. We came down without appointment to look at the rooms and the personnel was very friendly to bring us around last minute and the nurses were also very friendly to us. And of course, it's only a 5 mins drive from my place, very near :)

But I would say those preggies who had complications during pregnancy to take Thomson instead, as I heard that if rare cases of emergency occurs during delivery, they dont have certain specialised equipments and patients half-way will be transfer to Thomson instead.

Hi Nopy,
Is a scan to check your baby for possibility of down syndrome. U can choose between NT scan or Oscar scan actually. NT scan is much cheaper actually. Also depends on your gynae recommendation. Mine just ask me to go for NT and got the result immediately :)

Im in my 13th week now, pass my 1st trimester :) Time really flies when u r pregnant! Went to scan ystd and the nurse saw my baby's cuckoo bird! But doctor says to let the little cuckoo grow more to be 100% sure ...lol ..cant believe gender can be determined so quick!!

13th week and you knew the gender that's fast! I cant wait to know mine too :)

Then mine is probably a girl...hopefully! Coze gnae scan me during my 12th week and he mentioned that so far cannot see anything between baby's legs. I've been eyeing so many pretty dresses and accessories for baby. My scan is next week and by then I'll be 16th week, so hopefully gynae can confirm gender :)

Wow 16th week? Sure can cfm by then :) Ya i also eyeing for everything pink..haha..guess i cant do dress up with my kid le...

Boys have many cute stuffs too..like those tuxedo rompers and i saw the dragonball and Bruce lee rompers for dragon boys next year...really cute!
