just back from baby fair too. reach at noon today and already soooo many people and carpark all full, with so many fairs going on i dont think it's advisable to go on sat or sun. like omg! i nv get anything from baby fair, cuz alr bought most and just checking out again this week. prices are not really cheap and as compared to last week's fair, things sold are more, better ( of course more ex also). In the end i left the baby fair with a free pack of 16 pieces huggie diaper (just need to q and sign up), bought more things at the watson fair, pamper purple diaper ( 20 pieces ) at $9 buy one free one. Then disaposable cotton panty ( pack of 5 ) only $2. then some other misc stuffs. shopping at watson like more fun. lol

Anyway MIL, just came from malaysia today, helped me stock up some stuffs, confirm cheaper than fairs in sg, if u guys wanna stock up should go malaysia ba. she will help me stock every 2 weeks once baby is born since she goes back every fornight.

like the tollyjoy wipes 3 big pack is like 17.50RM only like 2.43sgd per pack
and Mamy Poka big pack diaper only 29.90RM only like 12.45sgd

really quite worth it.

I also just came back from expo.. wow.. car park is so full and everywhere is crowded.. it is only Friday afternoon and already like that. I guess weekend would be worse. I bought baby cot from baby kingdom. Thought it is good deal but the price is about the same as their shop after check out from the internet just now. But luckily got free bedding set and a mattress... i think that would at least worth $70-$90.. i guess as the bedding set for cot is not cheap. I am rushing to buy it today instead of weekend as it would be more crowds then.

I also bought a baby sling from the Birth Shop... which is very good and has been looking for it for along time. Website selling $45 and it is $35 at the expo.. :)

I also looking at the cloth diaper but can't find those normal cloth diaper but those all in one... dont really find good deal.. Happy Heinz is good but the promotion $18 is only for Velcro...I personally dont like it , I prefer snaps as I think it would last longer than those Velcro type.

Before today, we hv not really started buying stuff for bb. I was getting worried cos like not prepared at all. If bb decides to arrive earlier than expected (hope not), at least we hv the stuff ready. In total, we reached expo ard 1 plus n only left ard 5pm. my back aches but worthwhile. Think best buy is the bb cot / bed though cost double our initial budget. Wanted to buy Avent sterilizer set but cannot make up my mind if offer really good so ended up never buy.

i just realised your baby cot set cost 2k+!!!!!! tt's alot of investment.
i got my avent sterillizer bundle at a really good bargain during the robinson sale few weeks ago:

$199 includes:

Avent 3 in 1 sterillizer ( $105 at the fair )
Avent warmer ( $60 at the fair )
Avent milk bottles x 5 ( ard $30 for 2 at the fair)
Avent pacifier x 3 ( $10 for 2 at the fair) iirc the prices

maybe u should wait for the next robinson sale. well if u dont need all the items i think the expo avent individual prices are pretty reasonable

Yup, the bb cot was indeed expensive but wif all the stuff in, it was initially ard $3000/- plus. All made in US so we paid for the quality. Negotiated for a long time b4 the owner agreed at $2,388/-. Think he a Better actor than us ;p

For Avent sterialiser set, guess wil wait for robinson sale n see how. Hopefully another good buy will come along.

Hello Mums-to-be! I'm a newbie to this forum though I'm expecting my 4th child in exactly 8 weeks (end Apr 2012)!
Was seeing my ex-gynae from Mount Alvernia and decided to switch to Dr Irene Chua in Gleneagles. She's great but I've having 2nd thoughts of delivering in Gleneagles, since there is a high chance of having a C-sect (first time for me!!).
Has anyone had any experience with Gleneagles esp the labour wards and maternity care?

Thank you mummies for your prayers and support :) went to see her yesterday and she was sleeping very soundly. Opened her eyes big big when Daddy and I reached. Super cute!

Don't know if it's too early to buy baby stuff for her also. I can't wait to get all the stuff but I'm scared the clothes and diapers I buy will be too big for her. I'm also CLUELESS as to what to get! Yday I created a list but also don't think it's comprehensive enough.

Hope everything goes well for u dear. Dont worry too much, my cousin's son came out ard 30 weeks too, now at 6 yrs, he's a normal and big boy. All the blessings to you and your baby girl :)
Yup spoke to a nurse right after operation and she said she knew of babies smaller than mine who grew up to be fine. Now too premature to see if there will be any problems. But so far so good. Still got a LOOOONG way to go! Hopefully everything will be normal!

Hi Sunkissed,

Keeping you in my prayers. I'm 29 weeks going to 30 soon. My gynae has commanded me bed rest as I'm experiencing early contractions along with a short cervix. Also worried that baby will come out soon but keeping my fingers crossed.

Do stay positive as that will guide you along and everything will go fine. Jia you!!
Hi gessim, I was hoping that my baby can stay at least 4 more weeks in my womb. Cos the doctors said that chance of survival is very high at 29 weeks. I was actually hospitalised and kept under observation for the first few days. They were monitoring the baby's heartbeat and kept asking if I had contractions. I felt very fine and had NO CONTRACTIONS.

But one night, I had super high blood pressure and the doctors advice was to have the caesarean as it was very bad and can lead to damage to my liver and kidneys. :( No choice lor have to do operation. They said the only way to bring the blood pressure down is to give birth to the baby.

I don't have any history of high blood pressure and I'm young so it was a very odd thing for me. Couldn't understand how it happened also. It was just a routine checkup that became an extended hospital stay.

Hope your baby will stay in your womb as long as possible! Do rest as much as you can.

Hi all

Metro Paragon is having 20% store wide today. I bought my Medela calma bottle as its the only place that sells it for 20% less! Also pigeon baby wipes - 3 pack for $10.95. I saw the 3-in-1 Philips sterilizer there bundled selling for $135 - comes win a bottle, teat and brush

I finally got my Philips Avent Electric sterilizer (iq24) at First Few Year @ Paragon. Philips Avrnt stuff was going at 20% discount hence I bought it there.
